Hot-rolled sheet metal is, without a doubt, one of the steel products with the highest production and consumption globally. What is Hot Rolled Sheet Metal?
This product is obtained through a hot rolling process, in which a steel roughing (also known as "slab") is reduced in thickness by passing through a series of rollers in a continuous or semi-continuous rolling mill. During this process, the steel is heated to temperatures that exceed 1000°C, which facilitates its deformation and allows the obtaining of sheets of different thicknesses and sizes, depending on the customer's needs.
The material can be supplied in its final state of rolling or pickling, in this case the material is protected by a layer of oil on both sides. It is also possible to order the material without oiling, with the customer assuming the risks of oxidation.
