High Elastic Limit Steels

Fine grade microalloyed steels with a low carbon content with the addition of niobium, titanium and/or vanadium as microalloying elements to achieve structural hardening and grain refinement. These steels show better weldability as a result of the carbon equivalent.

Low sulfur content, high internal purity and fine grade structure ensure a better ductility, higher toughness and greater fatigue resistance.

The demand for this type of steel grows day by day, frequently as a replacement for structural steel, since due to its high elastic limit They represent a great weight saving regarding these. They are also in great demand in the automotive sector, where they contribute, to a large extent, to saving weight in bodywork.
