Cold Rolled Sheets and/or Polished Sheet

This type of product is used in multiple fields of application within the industry due to its great versatility: the automotive industry, the manufacture of metal furniture, white goods, etc..

The most common cold rolled manufacturing process is the one that, starting from a hot rolled coil It is stripped to obtain a superficial cleanliness that leaves it free of rust and scale., subsequently passes through a tandem train, where the thickness is reduced to the desired one.

Afterwards, the coils are subjected to a heat treatment or annealing, which can be continuous or bell-shaped, in order to regenerate the crystalline structure that was destroyed in the lamination process. Finally, the coils are subjected to a tempering process where surface hardening and final finish are achieved.

Application of steel sheets for cold drawing and forming

These types of materials are oriented towards cold forming, so their ductility and deformation characteristics take precedence over their resistance qualities.
